Saving The Monster Race Starts With Breeding The Elf Village

Chapter 310: It Is What It Is

Chapter 310: It Is What It Is

But to their utter surprise, it had only been a few minutes when...Luca suddenly stood up!

He stretched his arms above his head, arching his back, then rolled his shoulders.

He twisted side to side, cracking his spine, then bent over and touched his toes.

He looked like a man preparing for a morning workout, not a man who had just suffered a devastating failure.

He then turned around.

And the elves were shocked.

They had expected despair. Darkness. At the very least, a gloomy mood, a downcast expression, a shadow in his eyes.

Instead, he was smiling. The same old Luca. The same easygoing, nonchalant, unshakable Luca.

It didn’t make any sense!

Luca walked toward them, then stopped, surprised by their expressions.

Their mouths were open. Their eyes were wide. Some were blinking in confusion.

Even Nyx tilted her head. Leona, Lulu, and Luna scratched their heads.

"What’s wrong?" Luca asked, genuinely puzzled. "Why are you all looking at me as if I grew a tail? I thought I already made it clear that I’m not a demi-human"

He paused, considering. "But maybe being in the presence of so many demi-humans has caused a change in my body. Maybe I did grow a tail!"

He actually looked back to check. Then he sighed in disappointment.

"Well, that’s sad."

He turned back to them, raising an eyebrow.

"If I haven’t grown a tail, why are you looking at me like that?"

Leona stepped forward hesitantly, placing a hand on his arm.

"Luca...are you not upset about what happened?"

Luna nodded.

"We thought you’d be really angry. You worked so hard to build everything, and now it’s all been wiped away!"

Lulu agreed. "I definitely would be depressed. No amount of chickens could bring me out of it."

Nyx crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing.

"Everyone is concerned about you and we’re just surprised to see you so...calm."

She tilted her head, studying him. "Are you faking this, Hero? Just to make us not worry?"

The other elves leaned in, their eyes searching his face.

They didn’t want him to hide his pain. They wanted him to share it, to let them help him carry the burden.

But Luca just chuckled, waving his hands. "You’re overthinking it, Nyx. It’s nothing like that at all."

He let out a deep sigh that came from the very depths of his soul and showed them a helpless smile.

"Of course I’m sad. Dejected, even."

He shook his head.

"I put a lot of effort into this, and it only made things worse. The races went from neutrality to hatred. They don’t even want to look at my face right now."

"But..."

He looked at them with serene eyes, a peaceful expression on his face.

"...it is what it is. I can’t do anything about it."

He then chuckled peacefully and added,

"If I thought about every problem that occurred in my life, I would have gone crazy a long time ago. That’s why I’ve learned to just accept whatever comes my way and not think about it too much."

"Life is much more easier that way!"

Hearing such overwhelming positivity, the elves stared at him in wonder and surprise.

They had never considered that beneath his easygoing exterior, there was a deep, unshakable calm, a wisdom born from years of struggle.

They felt relief wash over them. Some felt admiration.

Others felt pride—pride that this man was their husband, their partner, the father of their children.

Leona let out a massive sigh. "Thank the spirits, Luca. I really thought you were in a bad place right now."

Luna nodded. "Me too. I was worried you’d be all dejected and gloomy."

She shook her head and stubbornly said,

"But can’t happen. You’re the light of this village. If you were down, the whole village would be down too!"

The other elves agreed, murmuring among themselves.

Without Luca, the village would not be as lively, as joyful, as full of hope.

He was not just their hero—he was their heart.

Luca looked at them with gratitude shining in his eyes before saying,

"There’s no need to worry about that. Even if I fall into despair, even if I sink into depression, I don’t have to fear."

He looked at every single one of them.

"After all, I have my family here."

Their hearts raced. He called them family. Intimately. Lovingly.

"So many wives. And little ones. And even the elders."

He glanced at the older elves, who smiled back.

"When all of you are looking after me, I can come back to the light no matter how far I am in the abyss."

The moment the words left his lips, the elves could not hold back any longer.

"Luca!"

"Darling!"

"Husband!"

"I love you so much!"

Leona, Nyx, Luna, and Lulu rushed forward, wrapping their arms around him.

The others followed—Selma, Ivy, Alia, Tessa, and more. Soon, he was buried under a mountain of soft, warm bodies, their breasts pressing against him from every angle, their arms holding him tight.

He could feel their love radiating from them like heat from a fire. It filled him, warmed him, chased away the last shadows of his disappointment.

He was grateful. So grateful.

And when the group hug finally ended—after everyone had gotten a chance to hold him, to kiss him, to whisper promises of what they would do to him tonight—he cleared his throat and grew serious.

"But even though I can accept whatever life throws at me." He said, his eyes narrowing. "I still want to understand how it came about."

He looked at the elves with an intense gaze.

"So can someone tell me what exactly happened when you met the goddess? Why was everyone moaning and groaning on the ground?"

He crossed his arms. "It was so bad that the other races ran away. So tell me—what happened?"

The moment Luca posed his question, the atmosphere in the clearing shifted dramatically.

Every single elf in the crowd suddenly became fascinated with the ground beneath their feet, with the trees in the distance, with anything that wasn’t Luca’s piercing gaze.

Their ears turned a brilliant shade of crimson, and some even began fluttering erratically, as if they’d sprouted wings and were attempting to flee from the embarrassment.

A hushed murmur rippled through the assembled elves, each one trying to explain without actually explaining.

"Well, the thing is..." One elf began, only to trail off into incoherent mumbling.

Another elf, her cheeks burning, whispered to no one in particular.

"You went on top of me...and then you just wouldn’t stop..."

A third elf rubbed her flushed cheeks, her eyes glazing over with recollection.

"You were so good." She breathed, almost reverently. "It was almost as if I could feel it all throughout my body—like it was actually happening in real life."

The whispers multiplied, overlapping and intertwining into a tapestry of embarrassment.

Each elf seemed lost in her own vivid memory, their expressions alternating between shame and secret pleasure.

One of the little girls, too young to have experienced whatever her mother had, tugged insistently on her mother’s sleeve.

"What’s wrong, Mommy?" She asked excitedly, her young eyes sparkling with curiosity. "What exactly happened? Tell me too! I want to know!"

Her mother’s face went from red to purple. She quickly clapped a hand over her daughter’s mouth, but not before a look of pure euphoria flashed across her features—a momentary lapse that only deepened her mortification.

Luca stood there, utterly bewildered, scratching his head in confusion.

He had asked a simple question—what had happened with the goddess?—yet everyone was acting like he’d asked them to reveal their deepest, darkest secrets.

His gaze swept across the crowd before settling on Luna.

"Okay, at least you tell me." He said, pointing at her. "What happened after you got hit by that beam of light?"

Luna’s ears immediately turned crimson. She started fidgeting with her fingers, unable to meet his gaze.

"Well, Luca...first you used that hole of mine." She murmured, her voice dropping to barely a whisper.

"And then another...that hole as well."

She looked up at him through her lashes, her eyes practically shimmering with moisture.

"And finally my...my third hole as well..."

She suddenly let out a dreamy giggle, her eyes glazing over as if she’d been transported back to the most pleasant experience imaginable.

Luca stared at her in dismay, wondering if she had completely lost her mind.

He turned to Lulu, hoping for a more coherent answer.

"What about you, Lulu? What exactly did you see? Please tell me more clearly."

But Lulu didn’t say a word. Instead, she raised one hand and made a circle by connecting her thumb and index finger.

With her other hand, she stuck out her pointer finger and, with a mischievous grin, started inserting the finger inside the hole and out, inside and out, thrusting in a vigorous manner while giggling toward him.

Luca rubbed his forehead in frustration.

"I’m surrounded by crazy people." He muttered under his breath.

He huffed and turned to Leona.

"At least you tell me, Leona. What’s going on? Everyone in the village is acting up. At least you, the matriarch, should give me a proper answer."

Leona’s composure cracked. She looked at him with a limpid, almost dreamy gaze.

"Well, Luca, what happened was..." She gulped, her voice dropping. "You were very adamant about giving me a lot of children."

She looked away, her cheeks burning.

"T-That’s all I can say."

Soon, every single elf was in a similar state—embarrassed, flustered, but with a hint of pleasant memory dancing in their eyes.

Some licked their lips. Others ran their hands over their bellies, as if they could still feel the phantom touch.

Luca finally snapped.

"Come on!" He shouted, throwing his hands up in frustration. "There are at least dozens of you who experienced whatever happened, and there’s only one of me who wants to know what actually went down!"

"Someone, anyone, just tell me clearly!"

"Honestly..."

A disappointed voice cut through the chaos.

"Why is everyone here acting like a bunch of children?"

Nyx stepped forward, her arms crossed, her expression one of pure disdain as she surveyed the crowd.

The other elves immediately looked down, unable to meet her sharp gaze.

"You’ve all done the deed with Luca over and over. I’m pretty sure everyone in the village knows how everyone else moans by now..."

The elves blushed even harder, some of them covering their faces with their hands.

"And yet you’re still acting as if you’re shy little girls who have never experienced love. This is why the elves have a problem."

She shook her head, rubbing her temples.

"They act with dignity and grace outside, but the moment they enter the bedroom, they go absolutely wild."

Even Leona had nothing to say to that.

Nyx turned to Luca, a mischievous smile spreading across her face.

"Don’t worry, Hero. Your darling Nyx is here to save the day."

She folded her arms, her expression growing more solemn.

"As for what happened when the beam of light hit us...well, let’s just say we met the Goddess and some...interesting things happened."
