Chapter 361 - 274: Duang, Duang, Duang... Super Bouncy
Chapter 361 - 274: Duang, Duang, Duang... Super Bouncy
"Is that shark crazy? Why does it keep attacking our bubble?" The passengers on the ship muttered amongst themselves as they watched the great shark relentlessly charge the bubble.
Once they saw the great shark couldn’t break the bubble, the passengers completely relaxed. Now they even had the leisure to laugh and poke fun at the very same shark that had scared them witless just moments before.
Captain Jack watched the great shark charge his ship again. He knew it couldn’t break the bubble he’d created with his Superpower, but seeing it attack again and again was starting to get annoying.
So, he raised his right hand, tucked his thumb against his middle finger, and flicked. A faint golden Spiritual Light flashed at his fingertip.
With a flick of his finger, a bubble the size of a grain of rice instantly passed through the massive bubble surrounding the ship and shot into the water.
None of the passengers noticed Captain Jack’s action, except for Lin Li.
"What is that?" The passengers, who had been teasing the relentlessly charging shark, suddenly noticed a bubble expanding right in its path as it charged again.
The great shark, charging toward the ship, slammed headfirst into the large bubble, which had already swelled to the size of a watermelon.
The instant it collided with the bubble, the bubble rapidly expanded, enveloping the great shark completely.
"Lin Li, the shark is trapped inside the bubble..." Su Yue said in surprise, tugging on Lin Li’s sleeve.
Lin Li, who had already noticed Captain Jack using his Superpower on the great shark, gently pushed her hand away.
"I see it. Let go, stop pulling on my clothes! You’re going to stretch them out..."
"BAM, BAM, BAM..."
The ferocious shark repeatedly charged from within Captain Jack’s bubble, trying to break free.
But no matter how much it struggled, the bubble always sent it bouncing back. It was completely unable to shake the seemingly fragile, yet incredibly sturdy, bubble.
"That shark is hilarious!" The passengers erupted in cheerful laughter as they watched the trapped shark.
They had completely forgotten how it had scared them pale just a short while ago. Humans truly are forgetful creatures.
One young woman watched the shark struggling inside the bubble. Even though it had scared her half to death earlier, seeing it struggle so desperately to escape, looking so pitiful, made her heart soften.
"Captain Jack, is the shark going to be trapped in that bubble until it dies?"
Captain Jack, who was guiding the large bubble containing the ship toward the surface, heard the young woman’s question and replied with a smile.
"The shark won’t die in there. Once we surface, I’ll release the bubble trapping it."
With the frantic shark now contained, the ship’s ascent proceeded without any further incidents. Everything went smoothly.
"SPLASH..."
Water flew in all directions as the ship broke the surface.
Above the boundless ocean, a flock of seabirds circled, preparing to dive into the water for fish.
Suddenly, they saw a ship encased in a Transparent Bubble emerge from the sea, which gave them a huge fright.
"SNAP."
After they surfaced, Captain Jack raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The large bubble surrounding the ship instantly shattered. At the same moment, the great shark trapped in its bubble in the sea also regained its freedom.
After its ordeal, the great shark didn’t dare pursue the ship any longer. As soon as it was free, it turned tail and swam off into the deep.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be heading back now..." Captain Jack announced to the passengers after dispelling his Superpower. He then returned to the cockpit, started the engine, and steered the ship toward the coast.
"So, Lin Li, what did you think? The underwater tour was pretty good, right?" The sea breeze blew Su Yue’s soft hair back. She tidied her messy locks with one hand and turned to ask Lin Li.
"The underwater tour was great..." Lin Li said with a smile. "Especially that shark that kept attacking us on the way up. That added a bit of excitement."
"Hee hee hee..." Su Yue giggled, remembering the shark’s futile attacks, and nodded in agreement.
For the other passengers on the underwater tour, it was an experience they would never forget.
After all, admiring the wonders of nature dozens of meters beneath the waves while being relentlessly attacked by a great shark was something most people would never experience in their entire lives.
...
"RUMBLE..."
With a roar of its engine, the ship, carrying its load of passengers, quickly approached the shore.
The passengers resting in the cabin suddenly heard Captain Jack’s voice over the intercom.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be docking in five minutes. Please prepare to disembark..."
Hearing Captain Jack’s announcement that they were about to dock, some of the more weary passengers immediately spoke up.
"We’re finally getting back to shore! Thank goodness, I’m starving!"
Even though none of the passengers got seasick, the two-hour round trip and the constant rocking of the waves had left most of them looking somewhat exhausted.
Even the usually energetic Su Yue was now drained and had fallen quiet.
Seeing that the ship was about to dock, Su Yue turned to Lin Li, who was sitting beside her playing on his phone. "Lin Li, aren’t you tired at all?"
As a Cultivator, Lin Li’s stamina was far greater than that of an ordinary person. A two-hour boat ride was nowhere near enough to make him feel tired.
"I’m fine. I guess it’s because I went to bed early last night. A good night’s sleep gives you plenty of energy for the next day, so I’m not feeling tired yet," Lin Li explained casually.
’In reality, he had been up until almost one in the morning, watching TV and playing on his phone in the living room. It wasn’t the early night he claimed to have had.’
"Oh!" Su Yue nodded. ’I went to bed at ten-thirty last night after I got back to the hotel and washed up,’ she thought. ’That’s pretty early, too!’
"BUMP."
The ship bumped gently against the pier as Captain Jack docked it. He then picked up the microphone on the console to inform the passengers in the cabin that they could now disembark.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we hope to see you again soon..."
As the passengers stepped onto the pier, Captain Jack stood on the deck, waving them goodbye.
"Goodbye, Captain Jack!" The passengers waved back with smiles, fond of the interesting captain.
"Let’s go find a restaurant for lunch," Lin Li said to Su Yue, and the two of them headed for the parking lot.
"CLICK, THUD."
Once they were in the car, he shut the door and immediately turned on the A/C.
Then, Lin Li grabbed a bag from the back seat, took out two bottles of water, and handed one to Su Yue, who had just buckled her seatbelt in the passenger seat.
"AHHH..."
"GULP, GULP, GULP..."
In the quiet car, the only sounds were the soft hum of the air conditioner and the two of them gulping down water.
They had both forgotten to bring water on the tour, and there was none for sale on the ship.
Although Lin Li had a whole case of bottled water stored on his Mysterious Small Island, he couldn’t just brazenly pull it out in front of Su Yue.
So, they hadn’t had a single drop of water throughout the entire morning’s tour.
They had started to feel thirsty on the way back and had been holding out until now. Back on shore, they could finally drink their fill.
