The other males certainly did not receive the same treatment Nina did. Their rooms were clean and comfortable, but none had been specially prepared or meticulously customized.
Keil and the others quickly busied themselves after settling in. Ridan, Dio, and the rest each took on different tasks. Some headed to the kitchen to modify and improve the cooking area, some organized ingredients and supplies, while others unpacked and arranged their rooms.
After resting for a while, Nina found herself with nothing pressing to do. She gathered the cubs and decided to explore their new surroundings. Mino and Yanai accompanied her, keeping a relaxed watch over the energetic little ones.
Most of the residents of Blaze City possessed fire based abilities, so the city had been established in a region that was naturally hot and dry. Didi and Sunny immediately took a liking to the climate.
The two cubs raced ahead, laughing and playing as they explored.
Nina changed Mimi into a lighter dress suited for the warm weather, then carried her in her arms while leading the others through Setan’s City Lord Manor.
The estate was enormous.
The gardens alone seemed endless.
There were several of them, each with its own design and atmosphere.
Nina and the cubs wandered through pathways lined with vibrant flowers, decorative stonework, and carefully maintained greenery. Even after exploring for quite some time, they had barely seen half of the property.
Eventually, the group grew tired of wandering and returned to their rooms to rest.
It was not until dinner time that Setan appeared again.
After sleeping for several hours and taking the time to properly groom himself, he looked far more refreshed than before.
Walking over to Nina, he said, "Nina, I’ve already contacted the city elders. A few of the most important ones are away handling affairs outside the city, and they won’t return for another two days. Would you be willing to stay a little longer?"
Nina nodded understandingly.
"That’s fine."
Waiting two or three extra days would not cause any problems.
A faint smile appeared on Setan’s face.
"If you get bored during that time, I could show you around the city. Blaze City is famous for its fruits and gemstones. Some of them can only be found here."
Nina considered the suggestion before replying, "Let’s do that the day after tomorrow. Everyone could use another day to rest first."
Since they were already here, seeing the city sounded enjoyable. Besides, while she and the cubs had spent much of the day relaxing, most of the males had barely recovered from the journey.
She wanted them to have at least one full day to rest.
"No problem at all," Setan replied immediately. "My schedule is completely open."
That suited him perfectly.
Tomorrow, he could finish the backlog of city affairs waiting for him and carefully plan the places he wanted to show Nina.
After a pleasant and relaxed dinner, everyone retired early.
Nina bathed and changed into comfortable clothes. She spent some time playing games with the cubs before preparing for bed.
The cubs tugged gently at her sleeves, their little faces full of hope.
"Mother, can you sleep with us tonight?" They pouted adorably.
Because of those troublesome fathers, they had not been able to fall asleep in Nina’s arms for a very long time.
Nina chuckled softly and rubbed their heads.
"Alright. Mother will sleep with all of you tonight."
She opened her arms. "Come here."
The cubs immediately cheered and threw themselves into her embrace.
Tonight they could finally sleep with Mother again.
Each one hurried to claim a favorite spot beside her. They nuzzled against her affectionately before drifting off almost immediately.
Watching their peaceful sleeping faces, Nina’s heart softened.
She gently stroked their cheeks, a tender smile curving her lips.
Soon, she closed her eyes as well.
Sal occupied one side of the bed while Mino settled on the other.
Each pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek before settling down beside her.
The remaining males returned to their own rooms for the night.
Setan, however, found himself unable to sleep.
Instead, he spent the entire night handling city affairs.
The hours slipped by quickly.
Morning sunlight spilled across the world as birdsong filled the air.
Nina slept exceptionally well.
By the time she opened her eyes, the sun was already high in the sky.
Several cubs were sprawled across her body in every imaginable position.
Sal and Mino had awakened long ago and were quietly watching her from nearby.
As soon as Nina shifted slightly, Momo, who had been sleeping against her neck, stirred awake.
The little cub shook his head sleepily before rubbing his face against hers.
"Good morning, Mother."
Not long afterward, Mimi woke as well.
Still drowsy, she rubbed her eyes and crawled closer to cuddle Nina’s cheek.
One by one, the remaining cubs woke up.
The first thing each did was rush over to nuzzle her affectionately.
Waking up in Mother’s warm, fragrant embrace felt wonderful.
If only they could do it every day.
It was all those annoying fathers’ fault for constantly stealing Mother away from them.
Nina laughed at their clinginess.
"Alright, little ones. Time to get up."
Sal and Mino immediately began removing the male cubs who were stubbornly clinging to Nina.
"Go open the door for your fathers," Sal said. "Let them help you get cleaned up."
The cubs shot them unhappy looks before scampering toward the entrance.
Outside, the other males had already been waiting.
The moment the door opened, they ushered the cubs into the bathing room to wash and prepare for the day.
Dian picked up Mimi and carried her inside while Sal and Mino helped Nina put on her shoes before leading her to the bathing area as well.
After everyone finished washing and getting ready, Nina stepped outside carrying Mimi.
The moment she emerged from the room, she noticed two females standing nearby.
One of them immediately glared at her.
"Who are you?" the female demanded angrily. "What is some wild outsider doing coming out of Lord Setan’s room?"
