Chapter 151 Nazca Lines
Chapter 151 Nazca Lines
Chapter 151 Nazca Lines
"The Nazca monsters are attacking our other cities and mines, and I am also very sorry for what General Mott did to you, and he has indeed been punished."
"You are now the most suitable people to enter the Nazca Lines. I sincerely hope that you can help us resolve this matter. If you can save the people trapped in the mines, I will personally give you the resources that were originally allocated to our Peruvian National Guard," Osto said very sincerely.
"You did something like this and you expect us to help you?" Zhao Manyan said with dissatisfaction.
"Forget it, if it weren't for the castle Osto told us about, we would be gone long ago. That Mote is a beast, but Osto is a good man. Don't condemn him outright." Jiang Shaoxu was a person who could distinguish right from wrong.
"Yes, our biggest problem now is to get rid of this calamity. Who knows how many more strange birds will fly out next time!" Mo Fan was more "lychee-like".
"You just said that if the people in the mine survive, you would step in and give us the resources that originally belonged to your government. Do you mean what you say?" Lu Jie asked.
"Of course, not only that, General Mott and his staff will apologize to you in public, and all of us Royal Mages will express our heartfelt gratitude to you. Peru will be your home," Osto said.
After Mott was dismissed, Osto took control of the Royal Felipe Castle.
"Then it's a deal."
…………
Soon after, the group that wanted to go took a helicopter to the mine, while the group that didn't want to go stayed at Royal Felipe Castle.
Flying in the sky, Nan Jue suddenly pointed to the ground and said to everyone through the communicator, "Look at that, what's that?"
Following the direction Nan Jue was pointing, everyone looked and discovered that the lines and shapes on the ground actually formed a huge picture of apes!
This scene immediately shocked the group heading to Nazca. They had been walking on the ground and had seen some strange lines, but they had no idea what they meant. However, when they looked down at the land from thousands of meters above, they realized that it was a giant painting spread out on the ground, and the painting depicted monkeys!
Then they saw giant paintings of spiders, strange birds, rhinoceroses, and pythons...
"No wonder the locals say this is a forbidden land of the gods. These paintings are simply left behind by ancient giants. It's incredible!" Nan Jue exclaimed with deep emotion.
"So what do we do now? We've been targeted by the monstrous bird's curse. How can we get rid of this curse?" Zhao Manyan didn't care about these giant paintings; all he wanted now was to rid himself of this damned curse.
"Let's go down to the painting of the strange bird," Lu Jie said.
After landing, the group walked through the Nazca Lines. Sunlight shone on the ground, and the lines seemed to shimmer with a subtle crystalline glow.
Walking through this enormous geoglyph, the lines appear quite ordinary, like simple irrigation ditches. No one would imagine what a stunning sight it would be if they were connected together.
There's nothing there.
"Last time we were walking around here, we didn't find anything, and then we were inexplicably attacked by those strange birds," Jiang Shaoxu said.
"Yes, we didn't know this place was forbidden at the time. We thought there were some treasures here, so we came in to explore," Zhao Manyan said.
The search within the giant painting of the strange bird yielded nothing, which made everyone somewhat uneasy.
They only have a week. They rested for a day in Lima and spent another day flying over. There's not much time left. If they don't make any progress, they'll be in big trouble!
……
They spent three days there, enduring wind and rain. During this time, they saw eerie white light surging within the ape-shaped geoglyphs, and at night they also saw the spider geoglyphs glowing with a bright red light. In the fog of the night, they could vaguely see swarms of spiders crawling, seemingly heading in a fixed direction.
These scenes made everyone realize that this was a forbidden area that could not be explained by magic, and they firmly believed that if they could not find out why they had angered the Nazca Bird, they would be punished by the Nazca God!
Early in the morning, Lu Jie, Jiang Yu, and Nan Jue woke everyone up from their sleep.
"Everyone, hurry up the mountain! I think I know why!" Nan Jue said.
When everyone arrived at Nazca Mountain, they could see the stunning geoglyphs on the ground from the summit.
Bathed in the morning light, these geoglyphs gained an air of sanctity, as if they existed to protect something, their protection enduring through the vicissitudes of time.
Then, as the morning light shone through, everyone noticed that the eyes of the strange bird in the painting were dim!
"So, the eye was stolen when we first stepped into this place?" Mu Nujiao said.
"That's right. The only key now is to find the thief who stole the strange bird's eye, so that we can break the curse of misfortune," Nan Jue said.
"The strange birds are chasing us, while other monsters are attacking other places... to be precise, the places where the thieves are," Lu Jie said.
"Understood. Once the thief is found, everything will be over!" Jiang Yu nodded.
Things are finally starting to look a little clearer, but the question is, which thief stole the strange bird's eyes?
"I remember there was another uncle who came here besides us. He warned us that this was a forbidden area and not to wander around, but we didn't listen to him and went in anyway. We didn't encounter anyone after we came in," Zhao Manyan suddenly remembered something and said to everyone.
"Does anyone remember what that uncle looked like?" Mo Fan asked, seemingly having found a clue.
"I remember, and he also smelled of gunpowder on him at the time, so he must have been a worker from a nearby mine," Lu Jie said.
"Damn it, those Peruvians stole the gods' things and now they want us to take the blame and save them? What a joke! They might as well let those monstrous apes steal and kill that thief in the mine and end this misfortune sooner!" Zhao Manyan cursed angrily.
"Now, once we find the stolen eye, it will all be over," Nan Jue said.
"Then hurry up and get on the helicopter, let's go." Ai Jiangtu jumped into the pilot's seat.
After a series of swaying movements, the group finally arrived at the Arlie mine.
"It's you!" Mott's face darkened, and he snorted coldly.
"Now is not the time for that. We've figured out why the Nazca Line monsters are going berserk..."
Nan Jue then explained the whole story to Mott.
Mott also realized the seriousness of the situation, but these monsters were impossible to kill. One batch would be killed and another would come. In the end, not many monsters were killed, but the mages suffered heavy losses.
