Hi everyone and thank you for joining me. And big thanks to the fabulous Fiction with Friction ladies for having me — and my guests — on their blog.
I have a new release out! It’s a gay erotic romance science fiction short story entitled Unlawful and it’s set in the world of His Own Devices. It’s available on Amazon and other fine booksellers online.

In a world where being gay is unlawful and slavery is legal, two men fight for their lives, for their desires, and for justice. Larke is a corporate lackey with a secret. Droje is a freedom fighter on the run. Each spells trouble for the other, but the passion between them will not be denied, no matter what the risk.
Previously only available for a limited time to readers who purchased His Own Devices during release week, it can now be enjoyed by everyone.
Contest: I’m giving away a book from my backlist to one lucky reader! The contest will end on Sunday Feb. 3 and the winner will be chosen using random.org. To enter just pop over to my blog at http://jessicafreely.com and leave a comment with your email and the phrase “I love Fiction with Friction.”
A Conversation with Larke and Droje:
If you’ve been following the tour, you know that we spoke with Larke and then Droje separately. Today, they’re here together and they have something on their mind…
Droje has his arm around Larke. He’s looking at me accusingly. Larke looks nervous.
“So,” Droje says. “Some of your other characters have been telling us about you.”
“What? Who?”
“All of them,” Larke says. “Cam and Sunshine, David and Seth, Xiu and Eben, Amaranth and Ash, Joam and Blake, Charlie and Samura, even Stan and Gus.”
Droje says, “Those two were weird.”
Oh my god. “All of them? How did that happen? Where did you meet?”
“We’ve all agreed not to tell you that,” Droje says.
“Oh shit.” Part of me wants to close my laptop and never open it again. But… “What did they say?”
Droje glowers. “That you have a wild imagination and a sadistic streak.”
What can I say? “Well yes, that’s true. But your story turned out all right, didn’t it?”
“So far…” Droje says.
“So far?”
“Yeah, I mean, at the end we’re–”
“Don’t give away the ending!” I say.
Larke says, “Droje’s point is, it’s a happy ending but… anything could happen next.”
“That’s true. Hmm… So, you’re saying I should write a sequel, then?”
His blue eyes flash wide. “I didn’t say that!”
“That’s a great idea, Larke, thank you. And you’re right, anything could happen next. Oooh… what if…”
“Oh no. What have I done?” Larke buries his face in Droje’s shoulder. Droje puts his arm around him.
Aw… Let’s leave the boys to their tender moment together and read little niblet from Unlawful now!
Unlawful Excerpt:
“For a terrorist, you show an awful lot of concern for me.”
“I’m not a terrorist. And of course I’m concerned. You probably saved my life last night, at great risk to yourself. You’re a kind and brave man, and…” Droje’s voice faltered, and a blush rose to his cheeks. He glanced down, and then met Larke’s gaze again with fresh determination. “You’re so very beautiful.”
Larke didn’t know what to say. He didn’t know what to do. He noticed Droje was half-hard. He had a beautiful cock, straight and thick. The warmth Larke had felt before, when he was near Droje, returned. He wanted to be near the man again.
Droje walked toward him.
Larke didn’t move.
Droje took his hand. “Come here.”
Like a tent when the support pole’s been pulled, Larke fell into Droje’s arms. They were warm and strong. Larke let out a deep breath and the tension left his body. He rested against Droje, breathing in the man’s spicy scent.
Droje lifted Larke in his arms and carried him into the bedroom.
This was insane on so many levels. Droje was a terrorist. But Larke wasn’t afraid of him. In fact, surrounded by the man’s strength, he relaxed.
Droje laid him down on the bed and got on top, pinning Larke with his weight.
Larke couldn’t get away.
