It’s that time of year again so I’m announcing the start (almost) of Brenda Novak’s Annual Online Auction for Diabetes Research. If you haven’t heard about it before, Brenda puts this on every year and so far they’ve raised over $1.3 million!! They hope to break the 2 million barrier soon and to do that, they need all our help! The auction will run from May 1st to May 31st, and there are always One Day items, so act quick on some of these!
My mom is diabetic and so are several of my relatives so this one hits pretty close to home. Every year I donate something, either as part of a group or individually, and this year I’ve put together a gift basket of books and baubles.
The winner of this auction will receive a gift basket from author Jade Buchanan that includes five books and a variety of items that have a special connection to each story.
- Print copy of Broken Rules and Tim Hortons coffee
- Print copy of Sirens Song (out-of-print) and a mermaid necklace
- Electronic copy of Hard Candy and huckleberry candy
- Electronic copy of Wolf Creek 1: Black Wolf and a wolf bookmark
- Electronic copy of Wolf Creek 2: Duck Fart and a duck shopping bag
This basket also includes:
- Pride and Prejudice journal
- Seven Year Ink Pen
- Book light
- And more!
Here’s the direct link to my basket or you can search for Jade Buchanan from the auction homepage.
I’m also one of the proud contributors for another auction along with the Bandit Creek folks, so check this auction listing out too! http://brendanovak.auctionanything.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=2550042
I know MLR Press has donated a few items and so have a lot of my writer friends. I have fun bidding on things every year so I hope you all find something you’re interested in! It’s for a worthy cause :)
