Okay, y’all, bear with me because I’m about to whine. I may have mentioned at some point that I’ve been training to run a half-marathon in September. That’s 13.1 miles, for anyone who isn’t already aware. I was up to about about 6.5 miles, which isn’t bad. But lately my stupid back’s been giving me shit. I’ve been getting sciatic pain down into my leg every time I run, right when I hit about 2 miles. It is VERY VERY ANNOYING. Walking doesn’t help, either. How in the heck am I supposed to work up to 13 miles if I’m limping before I get to 2.5? I ask you. Blargh.
On the up side, the new book I’ve started for MLR is going really well. My two heroes, Henrik and Marco, have met in rather unforgettable fashion and are about to spend a bit more time getting to know one another. This makes me happy and is one of the many things keeping the depressing stuff from holding me down :)
In fact, now that I think about it, this year looks like it could be a really good one for me. I’ve finallly gotten to go part-time at the day job, which is awesome even though my income is literally cut in half. More time off means more time to write, which is pretty thrilling for me. Hopefully I’ll be able to put out more books this year. I have Graceland coming out from Samhain in July, then my as-yet-untitled work in progress coming from MLR (I hope) sometime in late summer or early fall, and Demon Dog (Mojo Mysteries book 1) from Samhain, release date to be announced though I hope it’ll still be this calendar year. We’ll see :) In any case, I’m looking forward to the year ahead! Hopefully it’ll still include a half-marathon for me. LOL.
