I’m heading out to see a movie this afternoon with one of my peeps, and it’s got me thinking about what movies I’m anxiously awaiting this year. I’ll admit, right off the bat, that I’m one of those people who loves big action popcorn movies and I’m not apologizing for it LOL! So, in order of release, here they are.
1. The Hunger Games. I’m always looking forward to seeing how they treat amazing books on film. I was over-joyed with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, and I’m hoping for more when this comes out in March!
2. Wrath of the Titans. Told you I’m a dork about popcorn movies! I loved the first one and I don’t feel bad about that LOL! But, the trailer for WotT looks even better. And I’m excited to see Perseus with Andromeda.
3. The Avengers. I’m really really really hoping this one lives up to my expectations. I’ll be uber-sad if it doesn’t. But, the trailer is freaking awesomesauce.
4. Battleship. I wasn’t sure about this when I first heard about it, but I saw the trailer on the big screen when I went to Red Tails and it blew me away.
5. Snow White and the Huntsman. I love the story of Snow White, but my favourite adaptation by far is Snow White: A Tale of Terror. I love the darker themes in that one, so I’m crossing my fingers that SWatH gives me that same feeling. Not sure, yet, so I’m reserving judgement until I see it :)
Well, that gets me to June so I’ll stop there. I have a few that I want to see in the last half of 2012, including The Bourne Legacy and Breaking Dawn Part II, but what about you guys? Anything you’re dying to see this year on the big screen?

Breaking Dawn… of course! I know it horrifies some but vampires that sparkle just make me happy!!!
Well, another thing I need to do to repatriate myself: figure out what’s playing at the movies (and when certain TV shows are on)!!!

LOL, glad to help! I’m horrible for remembering what is on TV, mostly because I didn’t have cable for the longest time so I just forget about it, but I’m so excited that I have a new movie buddy that has the exact same taste as I do.
