Well, yeah, not writing it. But I took the spawn to the Long Beach Pirate Festival today. It’s kinda like a Ren-Faire but where Jack Sparrow reigns supreme and costuming is far more flexible. One of the cool things going on is the Pirate Festivals seem to have a LOT of steampunk mixed in. I give you…THE BIKE
It runs. Don’t know how street legal it is, but it runs. There’s a rum barrel for a gas tank and the spokes are wood. The turn signals are two lanterns on the aft end. But lots of eye-patches with rivets and clockparts, dragon-fly pendants where the wings were gears. My geeky, goth senses were all in overdrive.
I could so get into Pirate Festivals in a way I never really did with Ren-Faires.
