Or, well, one anyway. Ha. So, my family and I have been watching Battlestar Galactica (the new series, not the 80s one; no capes! **shudder**). We never did watch it when it was on. We’re catching up on it now. We’re on the last season. And you know who I wish I’d created? Gaius Baltar.
Seriously. He is one of the most multi-layered, fascinating fictional people I’ve ever encountered in my life. Just when you think you have him pegged as a complete cowardly, egotistical waste of space, he does something that throws you for a loop and keeps you wondering, or at least adds another shade of gray to his persona.
He’s difficult, annoying, wonderfully human and completely awesome, and I wish I’d thought him up. Big props to those who did :)
What about the rest of you? What characters do you wish you’d invented? You don’t have to be a writer to answer that question either!

I love BSG! One of my fave characters is actually Starbuck. I love how intricate her story is and how kick-ass she is too! Be sure to watch the “webisodes” online too. Lots of great moments not shown on the TV show. My favorite is the “Face of the Enemy”.
As for characters, I love Nick in the Demon’s Lexicon series. You don’t want to like him, but you can’t help but fall for him. Bad boys are just so much fun!

Starbuck is awesome!! In fact when you think about it, that series is just busting at the seams with magnificently complex and layered characters. It’s wonderful :D
