That’s a scream of terror, in anyone didn’t get it *g*
So they’ve re-made A Nightmare On Elm Street. Great. Just bloody effin’ fantastic. I saw that in the theater the first time. Well, kind of. I watched about three-quarters of it through my fingers and spent the next couple of weeks not sleeping with the TV and all the lights on. Damn thing scared the living crap out of me. Not because it was such a fine example of horror filmmaking, but rather because so many of the images on screen reminded me strongly and disturbingly of nightmares I’ve had. The new one? I don’t even want to see. I don’t want to know if they’ve managed to capture my nightmares with decent special effects.
Things I do want to see? At The Mountains of Madness, if it ever actually gets made. Guillermo del Toro directing, y’all! Can you imagine?? Seriously, anyone who knows the story and knows del Toro’s work ought to be insanely excited about this project. I also really want to see Paranormal Activity, which I never got to see during its theatrical release. I’m kind of peeved about that. I wanted to see it on the big screen, dammit! Oh well. We have a reasonably big screen at home :)
Are there any other good horror films I should see? I feel like I haven’t seen a good scary movie in forever.
