Okay, so Jet, Jade and I just got back from New Orleans on Sunday. We went for Epicon, and the con was cool. But New Orleans? Was a total Bunny Hutch.

As in plot bunnies. As in, the place is just crawling with gorgeous guys. Yowza.

Here’s a quick rundown of a few of my personal favorite bunnies:

- Glasses Bunny: the nerdy-hot waiter in Oceana, the restaurant where we ate lunch the first day we did the Quarter. Man, he was cute. I think he thought we were strange or something because we kept laughing at our own bunny-spotting predilection. LOL.

- Airport Bunny: blond, blue-eyed young man sitting across from me at the Newark airport. Cute as a bug. Though I did wish he’d quit kicking my row of chairs. Brat. He needed a spanking. I’m picturing some big dude in jeans and no shirt turning Cutie over his knee and teaching him a lesson. Heh.

- Bar Bunny: slim black bunny with a head full of braids, great big eyes and an adorable smile. He was working in one of the bars on Bourbon Street, I can’t remember which one. But he was very cute. I kept picturing him and Airport Bunny double-teaming A.B.’s big tough-guy boyfriend (the one I gave him in my imagination). That would be totally hot.

- Sex Bunny: OMG. This one was just precious. Tall, slender, brown hair, sweet smile, GLASSES. He worked in the porno shop we stopped at on our way back to the hotel one day. He talked to us for a quite a while. And get this, y’all. He. Is. A. STRIPPER! In a gay bar someplace outside the Quarter. **dies** Yeah, we all wanted to take him with us *g*

- Suit Bunny: found him at a place called The Beach, a way-cool courtyard bar on Bourbon St. He was a cute twenty-something in jeans (I think?) and a suit jacket. He was clearly a bit, shall we say, under the influence. He had NO dance moves. None. Zero. Zilch. But by golly, he was doing it anyway. He was out there shakin’ his stuff with everyone else, and having the time of his life. I absolutely fell in love with his enthusiasm and complete lack of inhibition.

And my number one favorite bunny, first one I saw in the city:
- Fox Tail Bunny: one of the many street performers in and around Jackson Square. He was wearing striped pants, a vest over a T-shirt, a brimmed hat and — this is the best part, y’all — a fluffy white fox tail attached to the back of his pants. He did card tricks and basically charmed everyone with his personality and smile. I decided he was a walking, talking story character, and Jet and Jade have already talked me into writing his story one of these days. So look for it!

We did other stuff. We ate (a LOT, OMG, the FOOD there!), we drank — best bar: The Beach, so much fun — we shopped, we caught up with fellow authors at Epicon, we even got some writing done. But every time we left our room, bunnies were everywhere. It was an inspirational trip. Wonder if I can claim bunny watching on my taxes?
