I’m always on the look-out for new and interesting things to capture my attention so I wanted to share one of them with you guys. Nancy Farmer is a UK based artist that I’ve been following for years now. She’s just got this unique way of looking at things that pokes my funny bone. Plus, she does things with Barbie and Ken on her Fetish Dollies site that I think you’ll all appreciate! It makes me wish I had more time to play with my Joes and really rock the pictures.

Here are her fetish dolls: http://www.fetishdollies.co.uk/

As if that isn’t enough, Nancy also has a site called Fornicating Fairies. Are these not the coolest?

Since I want to share, I’m offering up a small print of The Fairy Ring (I have a print of this hanging in my den LOL). Simply comment to this post and I’ll randomly draw a name next Sunday! Are there any sites that tickle your funny bone? Have you found any artists you want to share with the rest of us? Don’t be shy! I love discovering new things :)

Those fetish dollies are hilarious. I took part in a Barbie Project Runway thing with some blogger friends and I really appreciate anyone who can craft clothes, shoes and other accessories for Barbies. It’s such fiddly awkward awkward work. I never wanted to craft Barbie shoes out of duct tape and magic markers again.

I love some of this Barbie jewelry by Margaux Lange. http://www.margauxlange.com/portfolio.html Some is disturbing but other is kind of attractive in a wacky way.

I like the drawings they are really pretty , some are strange, but I like strange….lol…
The dolls wow, can we say Goth/S&M/Devil/Freak Barbie…..Crazy cool…..

Seeing this actually reminded me of an episode of the show ” The secret Lives of Women” on WE…..the one where the guy & girl ( middle age couple ) lived/dressed as fairies….like all the time wings, all the frou -frou, tutu’s. Not sure if it was a fetish episode or not, I know they went to parties like that and people basically thought they were a hoot/ life of the party…..

Nothing surprises me , espeically after I found out there were fetish sites where people were fur animals…and of course I had to learn about it…cause I like anything out of the norm….It is great that people are finally able to express themselves and not be afraid ….

Nancy Farmer …You just Rock !

    Hey Jade

Now that is what I call a Fairy Ring :D Too cool.

As for artists can’t beat PL Nunn’s work. Or Micheal Breyette. I love the humor of Micheal Broderick’s work. His calendars rock!

I know exactly what you mean, Tam. I tried once or twice to make things real serious with my doll pictures, but I just don’t have the patience for it. My fingers can work with seed beads and jump rings but try to get me to make clothing of any kind and I’m at a complete loss. Okay, and that’s just creepy jewelry!! LOLLOL! Love it! Thanks for sharing!

I feel the same way Bethaney, I like a bit of strange :) Wow, I can’t even imagine dressing up all the time. It’s fun but I like wearing sweats just as much as a costume LOL! I’m of the mind that there are so many things out there that I might as well try to find out about as many as I can. I mean, you can’t really discover out what you like and where your own limits are if you don’t do some research, right?

Hey Mountie :) I love PL Nunn. You can’t go wrong with her, that’s for sure. I like Michael Breyette’s work but how in the world have I not discovered Michael Broderick? I think I live under a rock! Thanks for sharing :) I’m off to stare at pretty boys!!

I want to share a (NSFW!) artist: Ernie Sandidge. I found him through the book So Fey, an anthology of 22 authors mixing homosexual ‘fairy’ and folkloric faerie.

Thanks for the share! Lovely artwork and So Fey sounds like a great book, I’ll have to add it to my pile :)
