Bet you thought I’d met my demise! Not yet, thankfully. Life has just been a tad crazy over the last few months and I’m only slowly starting to recover. I have never figured out how come there is always such drama. I mean, really, I’m not a huge drama queen but it sure seems like I spend a lot of time fixing things for people and being there for them. Add in Minion’s peewee football and I didn’t have time to do anything else. I was literally sneaking email time when I should have been sleeping. Plus I work full time in a pretty demanding job.

Much as it’s the right thing to do and needs to be done, it can really wear me down.

But it’s almost Samhain now. Samhain marks the beginning of the pagan new year and I’m trying to get myself back on a reasonable schedule so I can write and blog and have the time I need for ME instead of only for others. We’ll see how that goes. Thankfully the fall and winter is a lot less socially active for me so I’m not on the run as often. This is a good thing.

One promise I made to myself is to go back on my low-carb diet after Samhain. I need to get some of this weight off and low-carb works for me. I’ll be miserable for about a week and craving anything carby but once I get past that, things get much better. I’m already off caffeine and alcohol anyway.

Another is to set myself up a schedule. I want to get at least 2 weeks ahead on blog posts and be able to work on them once a week or so instead of scrambling at the last moment. Then I am setting goals and budgeting time for the projects on my immediate plate.

So wish me luck!

Yay for goal setting! Good luck! I’m in desperate need of an organizer to come whip me into shape. Maybe Ally has a special someone she can send over to my house :)
