RWA highlights

A few of my favorite things about last week’s Romance Writers of America conference:

* Finally meeting up with LisaBea. OMG, she is one awesome chickie, y’all. She knows everyone and everything, too. Lisa, I heart you, sweetie! And I owe you a drink!

* Getting to see Joy from Joyfully Reviewed (she of the bunny ears) again after two years!

* Meeting Victor Banis. IN PERSON! We had lunch at the same table! OMFG, y’all!! You’ll be glad to know I did not completely spazz out. He is a total sweetheart, charming and entertaining :)

* Meeting SUZ BROCKMANN! Ack! She is a passionate, wonderful human being. She wore dog tags reading “Ask. Tell.” I have a total girl-crush on her O_O

* Seeing the sights of DC. By “sights” I mean all the pretty, pretty boys wandering around the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I tell you what, DC crawls with gorgeous young men. Jet and I neither one could manage to complete a sentence without spotting a pretty and forgetting what we were trying to say. LOL.

* Medterra (restaurant down the street; I think I spelled it right) and their fabulous happy hour. Good things happen there *g*
Other good place to hang out: Open City, a cafe around the corner. Otherwise known (by us, anyway) as Twink Central. Heh.

* Getting to hang with Jet, Jade and Kimber, and even with Laura for a little while. We don’t see each other anywhere near often enough, and it was a real treat to be able to see them again. I wish the rest of the gang could’ve been there!

BTW, Laura has evil powers of persuasion. Just sayin’.
