In case ya’ll haven’t been watching the news Texas has been in triple digit temps for several weeks now. Don’t get me wrong we are no stranger to 100+ temperatures in the summer. However, those hot hot days don’t usually start till mid July. The started in mid June this year and have cost me money. My old A/C just wasn’t cutting it. When it was 100 outside it was 82 or so inside, so I bought a new A/C. Ouch my pocketbook. It as worth it though. Today the high is 102 tomorrow its 104. It was 103 yesterday and a lovely 73 in my house.

I’ve been piddling with writing, working on Matt’s story, Sterling’s story and anther standalone contemporary. I plan on diving into Matt’s story and hitting it hard and heavy once the kids go back to school. I’ve decided there is no use getting deep into “write mode” with the nerdlings home. They love to interrupt whenever I’m way into a scene. It’s so weird they can leave me alone all day, to where I have to make the interact with me, but as soon as I get into my writing (or get on the phone. I swear kids lose their damned minds when the phone rings) they are all over me. So I’ve decided to just piddle until they return to school. With any luck I’ll get several stories nearly ready to go by the fall.

Living in Texas too I agree the weather is suck-dee-doo and is worth the cost to get your ac fixed.

  2. Dani wrote,

I am stuck in this Texas weather debating on whether I should fix my AC in the car because I am only a month away from a new car.

Seriously though, what is with the heat?
