Okay so the rails were broke, right? They were supposed to ship the rails Monday. Monday comes around, no new rails, no one to pick up the broken ones. So I call them Tuesday first thing. “What the hell?” I get this sob story about how they are so busy, etc. They will send someone out to pick up the rails and as soon as they have confirmation they’ll send the new ones. Okay good.
Wednesday afternoon, nothing. Andre is getting pissed. I’m getting pissed, so I call. I get a run around; excuses, excuses, excuses, and an assurance they will go out tomorrow whether the broken rails are picked up or not.
Thursday I call, again excuses but they’ll go out today. I call my mil to complain, she says don’t worry, Andre said he’s not sending it back, he knows how bad you want it. So, I went grocery shopping. Andre calls and by this time I’ve had it. I’m pissed and I sick him on them. So he calls and bitches. They start saying well we’ll have your rails fixed, blah blah blah. Andre says no you won’t they are shattered and unfixable. It has to go through the boss or some such, so he says let me talk to the boss. He was on the phone of course. Andre called every 10 minutes or so trying to catch him. The guy skipped out.
Friday, Andre calls and the boss accidentally answered the phone after avoiding Andre all day Thursday. He tells the guy, “I want those rails out and a shipping confirmation today or I’ll be in your office Saturday morning.” The guy says “oh you’re in Atlanta?” Andre says “no I’m in Dallas and if I’m in your office Saturday I’m going to be one pissed off Texan.” After lunch I take Andre’s truck to get the oil changed in preparation for a drive to Atlanta. 5:00pm rolls around and there is no confirmation and no one is answering the phone. Andre and I both are fit to be tied. So we rounded up a babysitter for after Trick or Treating and plan a trip to Atlanta. I wanted to go, my next novel is set in Atlanta. :)
So long story short, I spent this past weekend on the road. It’s a 12 hour drive to Atlanta. ONE WAY! But I have my rails and the bed is put together. I also have some broken rails that can be used to make my nightstands. Andre is quite handy in the furniture making department.
On the writing front. the writing is going good. I’m nearly half way on Ben and Shay’s story. No sex yet. I’m beginning to suspect these two are going to be some of those characters that are impossible to get into bed

Unfortunately, the owner and the lady I’d been working with weren’t there. The lady that was there was very nice. I can’t believe the lady that had been working with me caved on me. Needless to say, I will no longer recommend them.
