I don’t know, but I had to drop one of the anthologies. I hated to do it, but it was making me crazy. It would seem my Muse headed to Aruba to drink pina coladas and soak up the rays one last time before winter….the bastage! And, of course, as soon as I backed out of the anthology the trickster decided to text message me to say, “Hey.” I guess at least he still cares, right? He even wanted to know if I wanted to text a few ideas back and forth. I told him “No! I only have 200 text messages a month. And besides, I’m taking a break until after Yaoi-Con. I’m just not ready to do this again so soon.”

The good news is after fleeing to Aruba without a word, he did finally check back in. So it must not be a bad case of burn out. However, he forced me to promise him I won’t contract anymore books before they are done. I tried to point out that TEA was contracted halfway through and it turned out okay, as were all the ones before it. He wasn’t having any of it. He texted me with a list of houses for sale on the beach that he was considering looking in to. So, I promised and he broke his appointment with the realtor…thank goodness. Now, he keeps texting, emailing, he even tried to call, but I’m not in for Him at the moment. Sadly, I didn’t tell the VEPB I was on vacation and now he has taking over my muses job and has got me coming up with ideas. Of course, I have to say, Luisa started it and she KNEW I was on vacation. I think my Muse may be conspiring behind my back. sigh Oh well I guess at least it wasn’t permanent.

As a side note for anyone who’d like a good visual of my mischievous muse, he looks and acts a whole lot like a certain little talkative Apache/white sixteen year old he helped me create. Why do I mention this? Because I had to imagine him to have a talk with him the other day and darned if I did suddenly realize I was starring face to face with the very image of a character he helped me create.

For those of you in the San Francisco area come see me at A Different Light on Castro on the 25th at 7:30pm. I’m doing a signing. With Caution was released this month and ADL informed me that they have copies already. I can’t wait to meet the crew at ADL they’ve been so good to me, pushing my books and passing out promo for me.

Next time, I’ll blog at you from Yaoi-Con. And give an update on my wayward Muse. something tells me he’s going to show up at my hotel room at 3 am begging to play with Ally, Jet, Luisa, Kimber, Jade, Laura and James Muses. I know for a fact he has thing “thing” for Ally’s, Jet’s, Kimber’s and Luisa’s Muses. The bastage!
