after series: week two

Nudge me.

With those two words, I began sending chapters to the crit group this week. Chapter one, introduce characters. Chapter two, sex scene. Chapter three, phone call in the middle of the night. Chapter four, so on, and so on, with me revising and sending chapters out, and them reading and getting back to me.

And nudging.

How’s the story going?

When do we get to see the next part?

So . . . about the next sex scene?

It’s odd, but the occasional e-mail really spurs me on. I don’t feel a need to panic about the approaching deadline. I know it’s coming. The e-mails keep me focused on the story.

How’s it going? Okay. the characters just had an argument. When do we get to see the next part? Three, maybe four hours after I wake up. So . . . about the next sex scene?

Wait until the evening.

Then, nudge me ;)
