Still slow going, but steady progress. I’m a 25k now. Still haven’t passed chapter 5. That’s todays work, or maybe Saturdays (as long as it’s done by Monday). It’s getting ridiculous. I mean really… 4 chapters and a prologue should not contain 25 thousand words. Oh well. I feel that I’m making progress though. I have a finish date of May 15th if I can stick to my schedule. I’m hoping for sooner, but who knows, RL keeps interfering. Although, Andre has now gotten to where he asks me, “Shouldn’t you be writing?” He’s proclaimed himself, my agent and task manager.

The story is still coming along nicely. Simon and Payton have met and even been intimate already. The characters are pretty agreeable, which is really really nice. I love agreeable characters. So, far they haven’t strayed too far off my outline. They are still fun and I’m learning more about them. I’ve discovered Payton has a few kinks. Who’d have thought? The boy is so well not stuffy exactly but more so that Aiden, Colton and Tarren. Of course, he doesn’t hold a candle to Rexley. Now Rexley should be very interesting to write. All I have to say to that is thank galaxy Trouble is the way he is :-)

I really need to get some critiques done so I can get my cp’s opinions on this. I’ve been so bad in critiquing lately, I hate to bother them with my stuff. I did get Luisa to read through a few scenes though and she likes it, so that is good. The Questioner is a tough critic ( a good one but a tough one). One of the reasons she is sooo good is because she asks questions, hence the nickname. It really makes you think. Sometimes she gets ahead of me, but even still it lets me know the reader is thinking about these things. It helps me know if the reader is thinking about what I want them thinking about at that point in the MS. I adore her questions. Which is quite comical because as a mom I keep thinking, oh her poor parents. She was one of those kids that questioned everything! “Why is the sky blue?” “What is dirt brown?” “Do bees have best friends?” AURGH!!!! The mom in me shudders.

Dick has read a few scenes too. Not sure exactly what he thought. Must not think it sucks too bad, because he’d tell me. So all is good in JL world.

Until next time…

    “Do bees have best friends?”

Lol! Only a real-life mom would think up a question like that.

LOL It’s amazing the questions an inquisitive kid can come up with. Annoy as hell, especially when you are in the middle of a sex scene, but amazing ;-)

Any luck, JL? I sent it out yesterday.

Yeah, you see how well “not bugging them with my stuff” worked out, huh? We ALL wanted the BJ scene! LOL

You should know by now there is no “bugging” in our group, silly, we all want to read :)
