OK, the score may be a tad skewed but I’m not taking exact count. Because it would be depressing. I’m sure the Moneypit has more than 9!
The Moneypit, of course, is my house. A few months ago, the SO and I came into a situation where we could FINALLY make a livable space out of parts of our house. Oh, I guess it was “livable” but not by most people’s standards. Certainly not by mine. But we were in a place where we could do something. finally. And we started. It was all going to be over in January. End of the month, tops.

It’s now March.
It’s gonna be cool. Really. I’ve never been able to truly decorate before. The new plumbing and roof is in. The new tiles is down (no carpet! Yay!!) We’re painting and getting new light fixtures including this awesome ceiling fan. I get a new desk, the new TV is waiting to be set up. There will be a new couch and an actual dining table again. It’s weird for me to be so excited about furniture but it’s cool! Or it will be.

I don’t blame the SO. RL is a bitch, y’know. Thing after thing after thing has gotten in the way. A few things have gotten wrong. A few other things have grown out of proportion. Two rooms got added to the mix that weren’t part of the original plan. We also figured out that we’d have to make other arrangements for the cats. They’re a big reason for the remodeling in the first place and they are NOT going to damage all the nice new stuff.

*sigh* meantime, writing is a bitch!
OK. I’m done whining. A few good things have happened and I’m not TOO far behind. I did finish 1st round edits for L3 last weekend and I’ve seen some more sketches for the cover. I bought Duran Duran tickets for May (sweet!). My print copies of Dark Elves arrived today. OH. MY. GOD! Too pretty! Excuse me, I’m going to go pet my books.
