DOH!!! This was supposed to post yesterday.
Chatting with my yahoogroup the other day I found out that my project progress was a big hit and since I never know what to blog about I’ve decided to give it another go. The Story I’m working on is The Englor Affair, the second in my Sci-Regency series. I should be halfway done right now, but RL keeps getting in the way, so I’ve set myself a deadline. that deadline is at the end of April. So hopefully these updates will keep me honest and on track. That is the hope anyway, otherwise I’m going to have to contract this baby to give myself a real deadline. So the cast of characters:
-
RL characters
Andre = My sweet wonderful and gorgeous 6′4 Latino hubby
The CP’s = The Great Character Protector Jet, The Questioner Luisa, (We’ve got to give Kimber a name) Kimberly Gardner, The Popess of Angst Ally, The receipt Nazi Brenda Bryce, Super Author Willa, The Goddess of Art Anne Cain, and The VEPB aka Viciously Evil Plot Bunny Dick D.
The Kidlets= My two pruty boys. Mase is 10 and Ty is 8
The Doglet = Odin my 3 yar old German Shepherd
Gilbert = My MacBook
-
The fictional cast of Characters
Payton = Hero #1
Simon = Hero #2
Nate = Payton’s brother-in-law
Aldred = Simon’s uncle
Roc and Wycliffe = Simon’s two best friends
Dunstan = Simon’s computer butler
I am starting ch.2 sc.2 That is chapter 2 scene 2. So far everything is going really good. I like the characters and they are being very agreeable. I’ve got most of the story plotted, but it’s loosely done. I’m giving myself room to play. Outlines to me are basically a safety net, proves to me I have a viable plot if all else fails. I really like to play and see where the characters take me…within reason. So far I’ve not strayed from the outline, but it’s still early in the game. If all goes well I’m hoping to have the manuscript turned into Sasha by April 30th at the latest. I’ve had errand day yesterday, so I didn’t even opened TEA. Today, the kidlets are out of school and Andre is home from work, so writing is going to be a little odd. We are planning on going to the gun range in the morning and leaving the kidlets with my MIL, but in the afternoon we–and when I say we I mean me–are writing.
Also, to help keep myself in line. Ally, Luisa, Kimber and I are going to do a daily writing quota. In the past this has worked very well, we cheer each other on and try to soften the blow to self esteem (because as you all know self esteem is directly related to daily word count) when we don’t make our word count. I have a daily goal, minus weekends, of a scene a day approximately 2500 words. So wish me luck. I’ve done it before.
I’m going to try and get some of Ch.2 sc.2 done today, so until next time…
since this posted a day late, cause moi is computer illiterate
Until next Fri…
