Okay, I admit that I think about sex and hot beautiful guys together more than the average person, but I tend to see a story in so many things around us in the average world my perception of ordinary things get colored by it. Take this weekend for instance.

I go to work for the first time since Christmas day and there is a small gift from my department manager. It’s a five inch tall bottle (the shape reminiscent of a certain favorite male body part), full of something clear and viscous(also reminiscent of something I won’t name), packaged in a transparent but festive bag tied with that cornstalk like ribbon stuff I can’t remember the name of right now. Very nice and masculine looking, which is interesting in itself since there are no male nurses working in our unit, but, hey, it was attractive. And it’s the thought that counts, right?

So let’s talk about my ‘thoughts’.

Was my first thought this was hand lotion? Perfume? Seasonal air scent? Shampoo? Even Massage oil? No, I think –What the heck, we got lube for Christmas? Cool!

See what I mean? See what I MEAN! I’m doomed.

Oh, by the way, the gift — it was a very nice perfumed hand cleanser from Body and Bath Works.

LOL! You are not alone. Sounds like I’d have thought the same thing!

    ROTFLMAO - that’s hilarious!!!!

And I have to admit my mind is equally in the gutter - I thought “Laura got fancy lube and I only got some chocolate - damn.” before you admitted what it really was.

Okay, my second thought was that someone was trying to tell us we were all getting scr*wed, but that’s another work story.

LOL Oh man. I probably would have thought something similar

LOL! I would’ve thought that same thing! The question is, is that sort of thinking an effect of, or a cause of, what we write? Hmmmm…
