I’ve finished my very last deadline. I think it’s a good thing, with the pressure of no deadline my muse has come back, in a big way. I’ve got not one, but three stories vying for my attention. I’m currently fighting off Aiden’s artist friend Bannon. Who would have thought he’d have a story? shrug Well, he does and he’s not playing nice. He’s Jamie Killian, big mouth extrodonaire all over again. He doesn’t seem to want to wait until Payton has his say in the Sci-Regency series. So what am I doing? Trying to get started on The Englor Affair and ignore Bannon. It’s not easy, but Payton is proving to be a bit of an attention hound too, so maybe he’ll out shout Bannon. He definitely has more practice with 4 brothers, lets just hope he’s a mach for Bannon’s redheaded temper.
What else is up in the Langley household?
I’ve a new love. His name is Gilbert. My whole family finds this a source of amusement as Gilbert is a 13 inch white MacBook. Andre (who is the best husband in the entire world, more on that later) has even gotten into the habit of asking after Gilbert when he comes in from work. My kids are always wanting to know if Gilbert has told me to do things for them. You see the leopard OS that came with Gilbert has a cool “to do” function built into the email, so I set alarms when it’s time to do things. Gilbert even got a docking station for Christmas from Neh Nehs (what my kids call my mom). Currently Gilbert and I are trying out a new program. It’s a brainstorming program called Inspiration and we’re using it for The Englor Affair. So far so good, we may have to buy it.
Last night–okay every night, but last night apparently I was grimacing–I got into bed and my feet were freezing. It takes anywhere from an hour to two hours for my feet to thaw out once I get in bed, which usually means sleep alludes me until then. Well last night Andre was at his computer (Gilbert was asleep for the night) and he asked, “what’s wrong?” I told him, “my feet are freezing.” Next thing I know he’s plugging in an extension cord and the hair dryer and blowing hot air under the covers on my feet. dreamy sigh I do so love that man. Yes, he has brothers but they are all taken… And besides they aren’t as good, I got the best one. I would not, however, be apposed to taking a fee and allowing cloning.
Hope everyone had a nice holiday.
Until next time…
