Off I go again

See, these people at my EDJ just don’t understand that I have things to do. I have boys to hook up with other boys and stories to tell. But do they respect this? Well, okay, the ones in charge don’t know. Not because I’m hiding or because I’d get fired or anything. They don’t know because I just don’t want to deal with them knowing. I get LOOKS you see and people start wondering what I’m thinking. I’m not interested enough to deal with it.

But I digress. I was talking about leaving. Because I am. Leaving. I’m going halfway around the world, in fact. Or is it all the way around the world? I’m pretty much going to be on the other side of the globe, in this case, Sydney, Australia. I could have refused the trip. They would have tried to convince me, I think, but they would have respected my wish not to go. And, truthfully, just looking at the work aspect makes me not want to go. However, I’m going. They caught me in a receptive mood–which is a feat these days at that place. And I figured, what the hell, when am I ever going to get a chance for a most-expenses paid for trip to Australia? Right?

‘course, that wrecks havoc on my other life. The life that means more to me. Dark Elves IV: Dissent is due out Tuesday. The Sacred Bands journal with Under the Moon is supposed to come out today. I’ve got things to do! Not to mention I’ve got a book deadline looming. Oh, I’ve got time, but still.

*sigh* so I’m hoping to get some work done on the *gasp* 14 hr flight down there. Ugh! And I’m hoping to get some ideas for new stories while I’m down under. Looking foward to seeing some cute Aussie boys. Yum!

And I am NOT planning another trip out of town for at least a few months! It’s nerve wracking!
