This morning I spent four precious hour (when I should have been writing!) re-certifying my Advance Cardiac Life Support training, a mandatory event every two years, for the last 22 years for me, for any one who works in critical care like I do. But as much as I tried to pay attention (hard to do after taking the same class 12 times) I couldn’t help translating a whole lot of the conversations into erotic romance inspiration!
Seriously, when you hear “Push hard and fast” do you think CPR techniques? “Lubricate well and insert at an angle” makes you envision tracheal intubations? “Applying even pressure with your fingers will make it pop forward”? It was nearly impossible for me to keep a straight face during the instructor’s lecture. Most of my co-workers eventually realized why I was making faces and then they were making faces! I’ve been indoctrinated for life into the erotic romance world. So sad.
Not!

I’ve had to do ACLS 5 times and I guess I never looked at it that way. Now that you’ve put the visual in my head, ACLS will never be the same! LOL
