Before I forget to post, like last week…BAD JL!
I thought I’d catch everyone up on what I’m doing and what stories are next.
I have a short story I’m doing for an anthology with Dick that will be released in Feb. of 2008. We’re doing a severely fractured Fairy Tale. At least that’s the plan right now, but these characters are really going to have to start talking soon.
I’m also planning on a new set of cowboy stories, set in New Mexico on a ranch. This is the one dealing with domestic violence. I’ve started story one and am absolutely in love with one of the heroes…Conor.
Payton and the rest of the Townsend’s have been yelling pretty loudly in my head, so I started a scene in An Englor Affair. I’m hoping to have it done around the time My Fair Captain (the first story in the Sci-Regency series) is released into print in the Spring of 2008.
The Viciously Evil Plot Bunny and I are also working on a science fiction unrelated to the Sci-Regency series called Gemini in Ashes.
And last but not least (the point of this post). The Quad J is on my “to do” list. When?
Other than that, Andre and I are restoring an old steamer trunk from the 1880’s. It’s soooo freaking cool. Yes, I love history. What nerd doesn’t? I’ll post pics of before and after as soo as it’s finished. We’ve managed to get the hardware off of the trunk in one piece, the only things that are going to have to be replaced with replicas are the handles, the latches and the lock. Other than that we were able to save the existing hardware. I’m excited, although I have to admit an almost awe when working on it. I keep wondering about it’s history. Did it belong to some southern belle who went out west to meet her calvery man who was assigned to a different fort after the Civil War? Was it the trunk of a poor country boy going out west to strike gold in California? Maybe it belonged to a lawman who knew Wyatt Erp? Or a young man on his way to West Point to follow in his father’s footsteps, a father that died in the Civil War? Yeah, yeah, okay I know I have an overactive imagination.

I’ve been searching your website frequently for news of a possible story about John. I’ve wanted a story about John ever since reading his reaction to Ethan’s new car that made me laugh out loud. Now that I know it’s coming, I can be patient.
