Some of you may know I write screenplays as well as novels. To date, I’ve written 2 adaptations of 2 of my gay romances, one mainstream thriller, one medical thriller, one werewolf horror and one comedy pilot for a TV series.

The sci-fi screenplay is the original version of DETAILS OF THE HUNT. I wrote it as a pilot for a TV series and wrote the synopsis for 6 episode to go with it. Makes it easier to market a series if you a have half a season planned out. The screenplay won a contest in it’s very early form, but since that time I’ve rewritten it and added to it. It’s a ‘buddy flick’ in the screenplay version, a universal appeal to the biggest audiences. When nothing more of interest happened with it in screenplay form, I wrote the romantic version of it and created the M/M erotic romance DETAILS series. (The second full length novel with me out this Christmas, GENETIC SNARE.)

Today, I was notified that my screenplay version of DETAILS OF THE HUNT has been named a semi-finalist in the Shriekfest screenwriting competition. This is a horror and sci-fi competition only. http://www.shriekfest.com/index.html

I’m excited by this because getting recognition, even a little recognition, in the screenwriting world is difficult. Every small accomplishment is a step toward doing the next screenplay right. I learn from each one, improve with each rewrite. I hope. So keep your fingers crossed for me. They announce the winners next week!
