I’ve been working ferverishly to complete a new novel title THE LOST TEMPLE OF KARTTIKEYA for LooseId’s THE COLLECTOR SERIES. I’m writing the final installment of the current series, leaving the door open for more adventures and other authors while winding up the mystery about the current goals at the heart of the central theme. I’m also having to tell a fast paced jungle adventure romance between two independent men during it all. I added a dash of the occult and Indian mysticism to it as well since it included a smattering of Hindu ancient beliefs about their many and varied gods.

I learned a huge amount of information researching this story– how the world’s gypsy roots originated in India (who knew?), Karttikeya was a god who had no interest in women (I picked him because he represented sex/passion in the academic reports but he turned out perfect for a M/M romance!), that the average daily wage of a male in India today is mind-bloggling $0.40/day (I needed to bribe my jungle carriers into staying and needed to know what a good amount would be –It appears my 9 year old’s weekly allowance would be a small windfall for them) and got the chance to look at some fascinating pictures of Persian lions and read about the myths surrounding them. Researching the book was almost as much fun as writing it was.

Now it’s with the proofer who are scouting out all my tiny remaining errors and making it look presentable for readers, that invaluable step that gives the researched, written, edited and rewritten manuscript that final polish. Yeah! to the proofers.

I’m going to add this as an aside, –If there is anyone out there interested in being a professional proofer, MLR Press, LLC is looking for some. You have to take a test, pass it, we only publish M/M erotic works and you get paid with a print copy of each book you proof, but at least you get to be the first to read them! If you’re interested contact mlrpress @ gmail.com.
