I love when you talk about your revision process. Just yesterday I went back and reread your prior post on the soul of a scene and it helped me tremendously with a scene that was giving me trouble. I followed your advice and wrote out all the important things I knew about the scene as well as what the characters knew. Then I made a list of what the scene needed to accomplish and while I was doing that, voila, something brand new popped out and solved my dilemma and I was able to revise the scene.
